A mother living in Geneva is looking for an experienced, French- or English-speaking live-in Nanny / Housekeeper to support her in her daily life and care for her 4-year-old daughter. She is looking for someone dynamic, proactive and dependable.
The family has recently relocated to Geneva after living in London and is looking for a trustworthy person who is interested in a long-term position with the family.
The ideal candidate must have solid experience caring for children of this age, as well as previous experience working within private households. Previous successful experience in a live-in nanny position is essential.

Employment rate: 100% – full-time
Working days: Monday to Saturday
Accommodation: Live-in position – private bedroom and bathroom provided
Languages: French or English
Child: One 4-year-old girl, attending Notre-Dame du Lac
As the mother is raising her daughter on her own, she is looking for someone particularly reliable and flexible who can provide strong and dependable support with the family’s day-to-day organisation.
Childcare Responsibilities
The nanny’s responsibilities will include:
- Preparing breakfast and managing the morning routine;
- Taking the child to school / the school bus and collecting her;
- Caring for her after school;
- Organising activities, trips to the park and playdates;
- Managing the evening routine and ensuring her overall well-being;
- Being flexible and available to travel when required and to provide overnight care when the mother is away on business;
- Taking full and independent responsibility for the child when the mother is travelling or away.
Household Responsibilities
While the child is at school, the candidate will contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the household, including:
- General housekeeping and tidying;
- Preparing and maintaining bedrooms and making beds;
- Laundry and daily household organisation;
- Meal preparation and family cooking;
- Maintaining a clean, organised and pleasant home environment.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has solid experience caring for children of this age as well as experience as a Housekeeper;
- Can provide verifiable references from private families;
- Has previous experience working and living within a private household in a live-in position;
- Is dynamic, proactive, thorough and highly organised;
- Is warm, caring and kind with children;
- Is independent and confident in taking initiative;
- Is flexible regarding working arrangements, particularly when the mother is travelling;
- Speaks both French or English;
- Holds valid documentation allowing her to work in Switzerland and travel with the family;
- Is comfortable around cats and has no cat allergies.
Conditions
Indicative salary: from CHF 25 gross/hour, negotiable depending on the candidate’s experience and profile.
Full-time position based on 40 hours per week.
Accommodation and meals are provided as part of the live-in position, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
